BERMUDA GOVERNMENT LONDON OFFICE TRAVEL ADVISORY

London Office Travel Advisory

Please be reminded that those travelling to the United Kingdom are currently subject to travel regulations to reduce the spread of COVID19.
Travellers to the UK must isolate for 10 days upon arrival and are also required to provide:
1. Evidence of a negative COVID19 test
2. Passenger Locator Form

In accordance with UK regulations failure to provide proof of a negative test or a failure to complete the passenger locator form are offences for which you may be fined, and you may not be allowed to board the flight.
Evidence of a negative COVID19 test
There is currently a requirement to provide proof of a negative coronavirus test before you travel to the UK. The test must have been taken in the 3 days before your departure and the proof of results must include the following details:

  • your full name as on passport
  • your date of birth or age
  • the result of the test
  • the date the test sample was collected or received by the test provider
  • the name of the test provider and their contact details
  • the name of the test device

You will be required to present your test results when boarding your flight, as well as to UK Border Officials upon your arrival. Your test result can be provided as a printed document or via email or text message shown on your phone. Please ensure that your device is charged.
UK Government guidance on providing a negative coronavirus test result may be found via: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england
Passenger Locator Form
The requirement to complete a Passenger Locator Form online before you arrive in the UK continues. You may submit the form any time in the 48 hours before you arrive in the UK.
Your passenger locator form will be used to inform you whether someone you travelled with develops coronavirus symptoms and may also be used to confirm that you are self-isolating for your first 10 days in the UK.
The form should be completed online via: https://provide-journey-contact-details.homeoffice.gov.uk/edit/start.contactEmail
Upon submission of your form, you will receive an e-mail from UK Visas & Immigration containing a reference number. Your Public Health Passenger Locator Form is attached to this email, displaying a QR Code. You may print the attachment or save it on your mobile device. You will be asked to present the QR Code when you arrive in the UK. Please ensure that your device is charged.
Each adult must complete their own form. Those under 18 years old who are travelling with you may be included on your form if you are staying together at the same UK address.
The information required to complete the form is as follows:

  • your passport details
  • your travel details, including times and dates
  • the address where you will stay in the UK (if applicable)

You may be able to end self-isolation early if you pay for a private coronavirus test through the ‘Test to Release’ scheme. For more information on Test to Release, please refer to: https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control/ending-self-isolation-early-through-test-to-release

Travellers planning to utilise Test to Release will also be required to provide the following information on the Passenger Locator Form:

  • Test booking reference number
